That’s why we offer flexible fire safety training solutions suitable for all staff levels, helping you stay compliant with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 while building a safer working environment.

Fire Safety Awareness Training (Level 1)

This course is ideal for employees who need a basic but solid understanding of fire safety principles. It’s particularly relevant for the care sector and is approved by Skills for Care, making it suitable as part of the Care Certificate or for general staff refresher training.

During this course, we cover why fire safety is important, how the fire triangle works, and the common ways in which fires can start and spread. We look at typical workplace fire hazards and what to do in an emergency, from sounding the alarm to safe evacuation procedures. Participants also learn how to recognise different types of extinguishers and their appropriate use.

How Is It Done?

This training can be delivered in person with one of our qualified trainers, as a live virtual session via Zoom, or online through our interactive e-learning platform, which includes tutor support and ID verification for full accreditation.

It’s a great fit for care workers, new starters, or anyone needing a straightforward fire safety refresher. And if you’d like to build a more complete training day, we can combine this course with others to suit your workplace requirements.

Fire Warden Training – Level 2 Fire Safety (TQUK)

For those with extra responsibility in the workplace, such as Fire Wardens, Fire Marshals, or managers, we recommend the Level 2 Award in Fire Safety Principles (RQF). This regulated qualification offers more detailed guidance on fire safety management, planning, and prevention.

Participants learn how to identify fire hazards and reduce risks, along with the legal obligations placed on both employers and employees. We explain how fires spread and how to minimise that risk, what to do when an alarm sounds, and the procedures for a safe and effective evacuation. Learners also explore fire-fighting equipment, how to choose and operate extinguishers, and how to perform fire safety inspections and risk assessments. A core part of the course is understanding the duties and responsibilities that come with being a Fire Warden or Marshal.

How Is It Done?

This training can be delivered online in your own time, through a series of bite-sized video modules, interactive quizzes, and assessments. We also offer it in the classroom or via a live virtual session for those who prefer a more hands-on, interactive format.

The course takes around six hours, including assessment and certification, and is open to learners aged 16 and over.

Add-On: Practical Fire Extinguisher Training

For those looking to take their skills a step further, we offer practical fire extinguisher training. This can be bolted onto any of our fire safety courses or delivered as a standalone session.

Participants get the chance to handle real extinguishers and practice using them correctly. If you’d like an even more immersive experience, we can also provide a live fire rig, offering realistic but controlled training in tackling small fires. It’s a great way to boost confidence and ensure staff know exactly what to do in an emergency.
