What is the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Course?

Formally known as the FAA Award in Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 RQF, this nationally recognised qualification is ideal for anyone who wants to become a qualified Emergency First Aider in their workplace. It meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 in England and the 1982 Northern Ireland regulations, helping your business stay compliant while preparing your team for real-world emergencies.

Who Can Attend?

This course is suitable for anyone aged 14 or over. However, those under 16 can attend for learning purposes only, they can’t officially take on First Aid responsibilities in the workplace until they’re 16.

To make the learning experience personal and practical, we limit group size to 12 participants per session.

Your Certification

Upon successful completion, each learner receives a Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work, valid for three years. There’s no written exam or external assessor – our experienced trainers carry out ongoing practical assessment throughout the course. It’s a relaxed, supportive environment designed to help every participant succeed.

What You’ll Learn

This one-day course is interactive, practical, and packed with essential knowledge. Participants will cover a wide range of key topics, including:

How to assess an emergency situation
Responsibilities of a workplace first aider
CPR and using an AED (defibrillator)
Managing unresponsive casualties
How to treat bleeding, burns, shock, and choking
Minor injuries and basic hygiene
Dealing with epilepsy
Understanding basic anatomy and when to get help

By the end of the course, learners will feel confident in their ability to respond calmly and effectively to a range of workplace incidents.

He made the Heimlich manoeuvre & CPR so easy to understand that anyone could safe a life.
